On Friday October 4 Linda presented  to a group of over 500 attorney and paralegals a subject that every person should understand. How many of you really understand and know the beneficiary of your life insurance policy? If the beneficiary is your revocable trust then you may be surprised that a recent case, Morey v. Everbank, determined that life insurance proceeds paid to a revocable trust, while normally exempt from claims of creditors, were NOT exempt from the claims of creditors.
